Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Henri worked for 7 years in mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance. When a former designer at Lanvin needed a business partner to launch his venture, Henri partnered with him to launch his eponymous brand in Paris. Henri later co-founded Pret Pour Partir, and grew his second high-end fashion brand in Paris (www.pretpourpartir.fr). Having experienced many pains building these brands, Henri co-founded ModeWalk to help many talented designers tell their stories and sell directly to consumers worldwide without losing the brand identities they worked so hard to build. Henri holds a BA in Business Administration from Université Paris Dauphine, MS in Finance from Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Beatrice has always had a passion to explore different cultures, having lived in China, Europe and the United States. After two years at Merrill Lynch, Beatrice spent several years acquiring companies and developing partnerships at Microsoft. While attending business school at Stanford, Beatrice worked at Nokia Growth Partners. At Stanford, she also studied abroad in Paris and had the opportunity to meet exceptional designers who opened her eyes to the creative world of luxury. Her passion for technology innovation and desire to support craftsmanship traditions inspired her to start ModeWalk. Beatrice was a Lightspeed Venture Fellow. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Colorado College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer
Mara has more than 15 years of experience in graphic design in the US and Latin America. She began her career in the magazine world as the Art Director for Harper's Bazaar Latin America in Mexico City. She later moved to NYC, where she first dipped her toes into interactive design. She has since worked for clients like the Smithsonian and Guggenheim Museums, the Mexican Cultural Institute in NY and Stanford University's Knight Fellowship, offering solutions for their visual needs in diverse platforms. Mara is a strong believer in the power design has to engage, captivate and inform users. She brings her experience in editorial fashion design to ModeWalk inspired by her travels around the world and her multicultural upbringing in Venezuela and Mexico. She holds a B.A. in Graphic Design from Universidad Iberoamericana where she graduated with honors, and took courses in Paris, México City, New York City and Stanford.
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Eric is a software development, architecture and user experience design expert with a passion for building new companies and products. He was the CTO and co-founder of IceBreaker, a venture backed mobile social networking & gaming company that was acquired by DeNA, the top Japanese social networking site. A Microsoft veteran of nine years, he was chosen to be Microsoft’s first Entrepreneur in Residence and worked on the early versions of many Microsoft products products including Internet Explorer,SharePoint and Microsoft CRM. Most recently he was the Vice President of Mobile Search at Yahoo!.
Chief Merchandising Officer
Jacques has spent his entire career in the fashion industry in France and the United States. He studied Design at ESMOD/ISEM (Ecole Supérieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode) the oldest and most prestigious fashion institute in Paris. In his final year there, Jacques was hired by legendary French couture house Jean Patou, where he spent seven years as Art Director. When Jacques met Lily Samii, he helped develop successful couture collections, which were sold in best specialty stores across the United States. Having developed a relationship with Saks Fifth Avenue, Jacques joined their New York team in 2000, working closely with houses such as Christian Dior and John Galliano to strengthen their American presence. In 2003, Jacques transferred to Saks' San Francisco, where he became the first in-store Wardrobe Stylist, taking a leadership role and working closely with many prominent clients. Jacques joined the ModeWalk team motivated by his desire to introduce directional designers that empower individuals to express themselves through unique and personalized style.
